YesπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ, it was a good run today. I felt great and everything was fine. Good consistent pace, good heart rate, good mood and lots water during the day before I started. 😊

I want to thank you all for your support and advice you gave me after my last run. I really do appreciate it, so I decided to take two days off from training. For me that means no running or intense core training, but lots of water and tea, good food with high protein and a good book. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘How do you spend your days if you want to regenerate and relax?

Very odd! It wasn't a good run today. My pace was fine and it wasn't really exhausting, but I did not feel very well. I don't really know how to describe it. It feels a bit like a couple of days away before getting ill. I don't know. Maybe it is because of my core training I did this week. My upper body, especially my abs, feels totally destroyed. My plan was to go for a long run today. It didn't worked out, but maybe I try it again tomorrow. We will see. The rest of the day I'll focus on eating well and drinking lots of water and hopefully this odd feeling is gone by tommorrow. Has anyone experienced this too? I wish you all a great day!

I DID IT!
56 kilometer in 7 days! I'm definitely need a break nowπŸ˜‰πŸ˜Š. I'm so proud that I did this experiment, it was worth it. I found out that I need to stregthen my back and my abdominal muscles. Besides of that I'm quite happy how it went, but my upper body is a weak point I have to work on...

My 6th day of running in a row and it was my fastest run this year so far! - 8k in 45 min -That wasn't planed at all! 46 kilometer are done now and only 12 are left for tomorrow! πŸ’ͺ✌😊

5th day of running = 36 kilometer done! It was a lot of fun today. Very peaceful! I did even saw a deer and two buzzards. ✌🐻

Don't act imprudent at the cost of your long-term goal just because you want to accomplish a short-term one as well! Today on my forth day of running in a row I got supriesed by intense rain. Usually I don't mind if it is raining or not, if the temperature outside is a little bit higher than it acutally is, but not in winter. Not at the cost of risking getting ill again - one pneumonia in less than year is enough - , so I decided that it is not worth the shot and I turned around after a distance of 2 kilometer.
I guess that's all about if it comes to not losing your focus and being persistent... I will give it another shot tomorrow. πŸ˜‰

3rd run in three days and 24 kilometer are off the schedule πŸ’ͺand yes I feel exhausted, very exhausted. That is quite funny because I run the 8 kilometer almost in the same pace. Today I've got even faster, but since yesterday every step is a sheer torment. I feel tried, I'm running with a sore back, my legs are hurting et cetera. Fortunately I'm doing this for a reason, because I want to push my boundries and my body needs to get used to less regeneration step by step. I've read that is important if you want to run an ultramarathon and I believe it is good for your mind too. So tomorrow I will go for another run. πŸ’ͺ✌

Done with my 1st run of this week! My goal is to run 56 kilometer in 7 days. Should be possible...✌

Unbelievable - WHAT A RUN!
Degrees below zero, sprinkling of rain, frozen impassible ground, black ice EVERYWHERE! I'm so proud of myself that I did go for a run. One year ago I wouldn't even consider to step outside and go for a run, but not this year. Worst conditions ever. It took me ages to run my usual trail, most of the time I just could run beside the track, I had to walk a lot otherwise I would've tumbled, once I had to crawlπŸ˜ƒ and so forth...like I said...WHAT A RUN!

Just what I needed before an upcoming run tomorrow...πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Š

DONE with my 1st run this year and it was fun! ☺😎 It was the first time that the sun came out in Hamburg this year, especially after a whole day with rain and storm yesterday.
Only five month remaining to my 72.2k challenge...πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜† Have a good day and stay positive! ✌

What a day! Unfortunatley I vomited yesterday, probably because I must have eaten something bad for dinner. So this morning I was quite worried if I will be able to go for a run later on or not, but I felt alright and I took care that I had lots of water to drink before midday. So I thought I'll give it a crack and go for a long run as I had planned. It worked out for let's say the first 1.5 kilometer, then my stomach gave me a signal that he would recommend me to focus much more on finding a toilete and change my plan instead sticking to it and enjoying my run in the woods, otherwise I will find out what will happen. Long story short I had to turn around after 2.5 kilometer, everything went well and I will do some yoga this evening. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Š

1st run after Christmas and after lots of sweets! πŸ˜ƒ Only a short one (6.5k), but I will go for a long run (at least 15k) tomorrow. I hope everyone is having a great time...cheers! ✌ you are the best!

Today I'm a happy honey bear! πŸ˜†πŸ» As I went for a run yesterday I passed a village where I discovered the home of a local beekeeper who sells some selfmade honey. So I thought I will come back today to buy some and here it is, a glass of honey I only bought because I decided to go for a run in preparation for my ultramarathon - FANTASTIC! πŸ˜†πŸ˜Š

It was a tough run today. I feel quite exhausted, but I'm another step closer to reach my goal. 😊☺ What did you get up to today?

today I want to give you a quick update about my weight. A couple of weeks ago I said that I had gained 5 kg of weight.
Well, good news 2.5 kg are gone! The result of less sugar and more running. 😊 That means I'm making progress...πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

What a cold and rainy day! I needed a lot of self-motivation to step outside and go for a run today. It took me two triesπŸ˜ƒ, but it was worth it.
Nevertheless lately I realize more and more how big my goal - running an ultramarathon - really is. Today I ran for an hour, at the race I will probably need something between 9 till 10 hours to finish. For the moment this is just not possible! If I really want to succeed, I need to be in the best shape of my life and it is still a VERY LONG WAY!

Today I'm having a rest day and enjoying my runners meal.

Today it was the first time since more than a week that I had some sweets again. Commonly I'm greatly cutting down my amount of sugar lately. Looking forward what impact for my body it might have in the future. 😊☺ I wish you all a good weekend!

When do you know that it is the right goal you are after? By the time it is cold, muddy and rainy outside, but all you want to do is go for a run!

It's not getting easier (or warmer), but I'm getting stronger!!! I just finished another 8k run today and I'm quite happy about the result. During the next few weeks I'll do a few more 8k runs until I will go for longer distances again. Cheers!
