Stretching my neck (getting the upper tract as well) Give this a try and hold for 20-30 seconds.
Due to the nature of my job, I stand for about 1+ hrs and I have to climb steep stairs but that is okay because I love what I do. And I can't sit still for too long anyways :) I'd rather be out in the plant fixing/troubleshooting issues rather than sit at my desk and do paperwork (sadly I still have to do this haha). Standing for an 1hr at work can help reduce obesity.. give this a try and alternate from sitting to standing

A calf stretch feels so good after cardio and a leg workout. This helps prevent muscle cramps and soreness the next day. I tend to have a lot of leg cramps and stretching seems to help me. Give this a try and hold at least for 30 secs each leg. This is my favorite calf stretch position. Looks like I'm pushing the wall away haha. #GetStretchyatwork

Focusing on my quad stretch today. This position is where I feel my quads the most. Give it a try. I was always taught to at least hold my stretches for 20 seconds.
I tell myself that I am beautiful and I am strong when I meditate. It helps clear my mind and refocus myself.

Does anyone besides me check for abs after an ab workout πŸ˜… haha I'm still looking a little fluffy but that is okay. I know I've came a long way and I am very proud of myself. I can say that about a year ago I decided to get out of my #comfortzone and quit all the #excuses so that I can live a healthier lifestyle and give my body the love it deserves.
I used to eat McDonald's, Burger King, Steak n Shake and lots of other fast food restaurants.. you name it. I took a BMI test and I was told that my body fat percentage was high, so that really kick started me to eating healthier and exercising. It was scary and hard at first going to the gym, but I didn't give up and kept going. Leg day today!!! Ahhh the shaking and wobbly legs after my workout. And guess what? I always torture myself with stair master after my leg workout. My 3 goals are
1. Get out of my comfort zone even though it may be scary, so that I can grow into a better, knowledgeable, and stronger person. This applies to both my job/workplace and my fitness journey.
2. Meal prep every week because it is the key to eating healthy. Learning to log my foods and journaling to stay accountable (learning from my mistakes through my logs)
3. Focus on the positives rather than the negatives, such as being patient and enjoying the journey.

I am very thankful for lots of things this year..
1. I started PIIT28 in March and that started my fitness journey. By the way, if you are wanting to start PIIT28.. it is on sale for 30% off. Use the code PIIT2017. And @blogilates is doing a 28 day reset challenge
2. I started cleaning up my diet which means eating healthy and my body thanked me for it
3. I bought my first house
4. I ran a 15k and actually trained for it
5. I traveled many places with my boyfriend and had lots of fun.. best place so far this year was a trip to Cedar Point, Ohio and Tennessee
6. Watched my first live hockey game
7. Met my coach who teaches me how to eat and weight lift (did one of her fitness challenges which was awesome and highly recommend.. check her out @randikennedy_)

My list could go on and on about all the great things in 2016. Thank you if you had read this far into my post. Stay positive and have an optimistic look on things 😘

All I want to do for Christmas is open presents, snuggle under my blankets with my dog, and drink hot chocolate. That sounds really tempting, but I am traveling to Chicago to visit family and probably helping my dad out at his restaurant. Yes, I am taking vacation from my real job and going home to work some more. On the bright side, I completed my workouts for this week and I am going to have some bonding time with my family. I was craving sweets and found this recipe which is macro friendly. I already killed my pudding so I couldn't take a pic of it for you guys .
Ingredients:
- 1 scoop @nlaforher chocolate Γ©clair HerWhey - 5 oz plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder (can omit the cocoa powder if you wish)
- 1/4 tsp honey
- 1/8 chopped cherries or whatever fruit you wish to put in it

1. Combine all ingredients together and mix well.

For cardio today, I did spin/bicycle! A lady stopped me and asked what gear I usually ride at and what gear is considered good. I told her that I usually try to keep a steady pace at ~90 rpm for 90 secs, then sprint for 30 secs for a fat burning session. And the gear that she ride at doesn't really matter and that she will get stronger and improve overtime. We also shared our workout struggles with each other. Today's topic is what keeps me motivated. I would say writing down big goals (seems very tedious and time consuming but it helps), changing my mindset, loving myself and my own body, working on improving myself, and getting stronger for myself keeps me motivated. Don't worry about what other people do or say. Just keep doing you! There are days that I don't want to go to the gym. Having a postitive mindset and wanting to get stronger helps me get up and go to the gym everyday. I like to challenge myself to my limits because I want to know how much faster I can sprint today or how many lbs I can lift today until failure. Being able to even lift 1 lb heavier makes me very happy. Small progress can lead to big results overtime. Sometimes I watch youtube videos uploaded by positive people, research healthy recipes, and go through instagram accounts to get myself motivated. Hope this can help someone out there in need of motivation. Stay fly and stay strong! Keep pushing to your limits!
