Milan draw 2-2 away from home against Torino. Milan, once again, played a poor 1st half and improved in the 2nd half. Our defence was uncharacteristically poor today. Romagnoli played probably his worst game of the season and Calabria doesn't have experience at left-back. 'Il Gallo' brought Torino in front after 20 minutes. He deflected a shot from Ljajic into the net, completely changing the trajectory of the ball. Torino would double their lead a few minutes later through Benassi. He flicked the ball in the net from close range after a mix-up in the box. Milan looked down and out. The score line could've been even worse. Torino were awarded a penalty for a foul from Abate. Ljajic shot down the middle, but Donnarumma guessed it and saved the penalty. It looked easy, but Gigio was smart to read his movement and decide not to dive. The half ended at 2-0. Milan pushed forward in the 2nd half. Bertolacci halved the deficit. Abate's cross was missed by everyone until Bonaventura arrived and took a shot. Hart saved it, but Bertolacci was able to turn the ball in after a series of saves from the English keeper. The goal was awarded through goal-line technology. Milan then got the perfect chance to equalize. Paletta was thrown down in the box and Milan got a penalty. Bacca slot a nice penalty into the top corner. Milan tried to find the go ahead goal, but were unsuccessful. Maybe we could've scored if Suso decided to pass instead of shoot on one of our counter attacks. A few other decent chances were wasted by us. Near the end, Romagnoli was sent off for a second yellow. Him, along with Locatelli, will miss the next match due to suspension. The man of the match was Donnarumma in my opinion. He made key saves to keep us in the game. Now we need to reset and focus on the next game, which is a tough one. We face Napoli at San Siro on Saturday, January 21st. Forza Milan!

Davide Calabria: It hasn't been easy to stay away from the action for more than three months. I wasn't expecting to stay out this long, but now I'm okay and I am recovering in the best possible way. We could say that playing Thursday night against Torino in the TIM Cup match can be considered a second debut. The Supercoppa was our revenge for the Coppa Italia Final. It was really a fantastic night, difficult to describe. It was our first silverware. Winning a trophy with AC Milan is something that will stay with me forever and it was the right reward also for our fans. This has to be something to start from in order to continue doing well in the league. The Coppa Italia Final we lost to Juve gave us the right motivation to start the season in the best possible way and made us believe in ourselves. And now, having beaten Juventus twice in a short period, we know we can climb the table. Thursday we did not start on the right foot, but in the second half we did well. It was exciting making it through to the next round with a comeback win. We have already studied our opponents for the TIM Cup match, we know what to do. The better we do, the more confidence we gain. I think the team can only improve. I hope to play as many matches as possible and to win again. Basically, Montella wants the fullbacks to play high up the pitch, we are almost wingers. We need to work well with the midfielders to cover all the areas of the pitch. We are doing a great job. Abate is my role model, and not only mine. He's our captain with Montolivo and gives me lots of suggestions which I try and put into practice. The youngsters have improved a great deal. I wasn't expecting such an improvement in the first team. I hope they keep it up because they are doing a great job. It's not easy for a youngster to make it into the first team. The advice I give the youths is to keep calm, work hard and always believe in the future.

Vincenzo Montella: I went over the match [against Torino in the TIM Cup] again and it confirmed what I saw live. We made a few mistakes in the first half and from one of our mistakes, they managed to score. In the second half, we were quicker and did well in marking the opponents. It was a deserved win. We have to start from that second half for tomorrow's match. Torino play well with their own style of play. They are strong down the wings and in midfield. Sinisa [Mihajlovic] teams always play with great character. I'm expecting a very determined team. We'll have to control the game, keep possession and be ready for a battle. Bonaventura and Suso play well together. Jack can play both in midfield and up front, and I hope that this harmony will be decisive tomorrow night. Bertolacci is an all-rounder. Sosa played well in the Cup. M'baye [Niang] was suspended for the Cup match, but he's available for tomorrow. I am really pleased with how the season is going, although I always expect more. Bacca? His performances have been consistent for years. He's a top level striker. Romagnoli resumed full training and he's fit to play. De Sciglio and Poli both have the same issue, but it's nothing muscular. We have a tight schedule, with 6 games in 21 days. This series of matches will be essential to understanding what our ambitions can be. We are currently satisfied with our position in the league, but I am convinced that in the next 45 days, we'll understand more about what we can achieve this year. I think there's still room for improvement. We have a young squad and therefore there may be some mistakes, though we have to improve the approach to the game. I have the privilege of being AC Milan's manager. We don't really need much [in terms of new signings], our new signings are Bertolacci, Sosa, Calabria and also Zapata. Montolivo will be back in a few months, therefore we have lots of resources. Should they [Milan] offer me an extension to my contract? Why not.

Milan advance to the quarterfinals of the Coppa Italia after beating Torino 2-1 at San Siro today. Milan continued their good run of form today. We played an average 1st half with a much improved 2nd half. Belotti opened the scoring in the 27th minute, coming from a great play from Torino. New signing Iturbe burst through the middle of the field and sent a pass to De Silvestre on the right wing. Belotti made a run and he was played through to slot past Donnarumma. Torino had another chance to score when a shot was deflected just beyond the post. Milan definitely needed a waking up in the 2nd half. Milan was a different team when they came out. We were closing Torino in their zone and the chances were coming. We equalized thanks to Kucka. Suso dribbled past a few players and took a shot from the edge of the box that was parried away by Hart. The ball fell to Bonaventura on the left wing. He passed the ball across goal all the way to Kucka at the far post. The Slovakian scored from a tight angle. Milan were now playing with enthusiasm. Just 3 minutes after the equalizer, Bonaventura put Milan ahead. Gustavo Gomez did well to intercept a pass in Torino's half. He passed to Suso and he sent a cross to Bonaventura who was making the run. Giacomo's shot was a beautiful, first-time hit that ended up in the back of the net. The comeback was complete. Lapadula missed a glorious chance to close the game near the end. He was played through on goal, he rounded the keeper, and his shot was cleared off the line by Moretti. He should've taken his time and shot on the opposite side of the net. Milan played a great 2nd half, proving once again that they are now capable of winning games from losing positions, one of our biggest issues in the past few seasons. My man of the match was Paletta. He continues his exceptional form in defence. He made key plays that ensured we didn't concede more goals. Other players who deserve a mention are Gustavo Gomez and Sosa. Gomez always does well when he plays, despite not being a starter. Sosa did well in the regista role today. -->
