Healthy Battered Fish I whipped up last night - super simple & super good!
2 200g Atlantic Cod fillets
1 1/2T organic coconut oil
1/2C organic almond flour
1 lemon
Sea Salt
Pepper
Herbs
Put cod fillets in baking dish & season w/sea salt & pepper. Put half the coconut oil & half the lemon on the fillets. Then divide the flour & coat the fillets w/it. Top w/remaining oil & lemon & whatever herbs/spices you want.
I served w/steamed broccoli & guacamole (Avo, lime, sea salt) ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ. Good morning beautiful people ๐Ÿ’• I am surprised what a difference an IV can make! Yesterdays shift was 8 hours and I did it! But more than this I am able to do another 4-hour shift today. I do realise that I am not feeling as good as yesterday but the fact that I did it is already such an improvement! ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐ŸŽ‰ My GP came in during my IV yesterday and we discussed a lot of new ideas of which I really don't like all but what I like is that we're trying regular IV again! Dinner: Fruit salad ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿˆ
Papaya, banana & strawberries topped with the last (๐Ÿ˜ฉ) of my homemade granola.
I went to the gym and did my 30 minutes (about 20 running) and came home re-energized and ready for some healthy food.
Have you ever noticed that if you go exercise your brain automatically keeps you on track in like a healthy streak? Like, in my case, I go to the gym and don't want to go eat heavy or junky food because I'll feel like I just wasted my time and exercises for nothing if I gain what I lost in 15 minutes.
The energy burst you get after you exercise is also great because even after you leave the gym or are done with your run, your body is still burning calories and making your metabolism move.
Don't wait until May or June to join a gym or start an exercise routine if you want a "summer body" by July or August. No need to kill yourself if you just incorporate exercise in your every day routine and have a healthy and clean diet starting NOW.

DOUBLE-DECKER VEGGIE-BEAN BURGER SANDWICH with POTATOES & SNAP PEAS: I visited my father and middle brother in Wicomico Church, Virginia for Christmas Day and a a couple days afterward. Then I my youngest brother and his family in Henrico, Virginia for New Years, and a bit beyond that day. Then back to see my Dad and middle brother for about a week and a half.

Before leaving my youngest brother's family's house, I prepped some whole-food, plant-based, no-oil (WFPBNO) sandwiches, fruits, veggies, and snacks. Some of those were for during my trip back to Wicomico Church (a couple steamed/baked potatoes, along with some fresh celery and carrots).
.
Others were to help me continue eating WFPBNO while transitioning into being at my Dad's house again.
.
My first meal there? I had a double-decker veggie/bean burger sandwich with two Engine 2 Plant-Strong burgers (@engine2diet). That sandwich was on lightly toasted sprouted whole-grain roll/bun (Food for Life, @foodforlifebaking), with some cashew cheese spread (Treeline Cheese, @treelinecheese), herbs and spices (no-salt-added); barbeque sauce (Robbie's, low sodium), and pickle slices.

With that sandwich I had a steamed/baked potato with no-salt-added herbs and spices, and some snap peas.

Dessert was a crisp and sweet apple. No photo.

Where do you get your protein? - Plants! Did you know that plants meet the protein needs of the earthโ€™s largest animals; elephants, hippopotamuses, giraffes and cows. Humans are much smaller in comparison and our needs can be easily met by plants as long as calorie intake is adequate.

We actually require very little protein, the estimate for Australian diets is 10-20% energy from protein. Rice is 8% protein, corn 11%, oats 15% and beans 27%. Therefore, protein deficiency is impossible when calorie needs are met by eating unprocessed starches and vegetables.
