I don't like sharing my personal goals because they are... personal... but, imma give it a try and be open about this! After 4 months of not working out consistently due to work and school, I've lost strength... I can feel it and IT SUCKS... So, imma set myself this goal (GOAL not a New Year Resolution): increase those #1mr by 10% with proper form in 4 months! 🏻 This is my starting point, let's see how that goes 🏻#squat#deadlift#benchpress#goals#gainz#lol

So, after Christmas and our December trip to Madeira, I stepped on the scales thinking I'd probably be around 64-65kg... I actually weighed 66kg
My plan this year is to nail my reverse diet, to get my calories nice and high again, whilst putting on little body fat (well, less than I have done before anyway) and gain some more muscle!
To do this I want to be in a place where I feel happy with myself and my body, in order to accept the fact I'm going to put on a bit of extra weight 🏼
So I decided to do a mini cut throughout January (perhaps February too depending on how I get on) to shed some extra body fat before officially starting my reverse diet. Also to see how my body responds to a strict amount of calories/macros, so I have a starting point.
After dieting for 2 weeks I weighed myself and I'd gone from 66kg to 63.5kg. This was super good progress for me, considering for months I'd felt like I'd really struggled to lose weight because my calories had been so low in the first place!
I know some of my initial weight loss will have been water weight, but I'm already feeling so much better and looking forward to seeing my progress by the end of January! 🏻
Brought the boys @dennis_tierney and @seanwright_ over to my office of operations, crushing the trap bar deadlifts 🏻 -
Why trap bar deadlifts? The bar allows for neutral grip + the weight is now centered completely with the midline of your body (safer for those with shoulder and back issues). Also the higher handles means one doesn't need to bend as low compared to a conventional deadlift (if they have inflexibility issues)
TL;DR the trap bar is great to teach the deadlift movement pattern safely and effectively to those who may not be ready for a barbell deadlift
