Daydreaming of a better future inside the product of systemic racism. It's been days later and I still feel dirty for wearing it.

This is an #Indigenous spiritual movement never seen before in history. Who the fuck is talking about farms or climate?? #350 wouldn't dare show up in #Ferguson for a #BlackLivesMatter rally, in #Phoenix for a #Not1More march or #NYC for a #LGBTQ action with their own self serving messaging. Why us?
Take your #Colonial fetishes elsewhere. Stop gentrifying our #Native movement space. It's not yours for the taking. Stay in your lane. Support looks like sending resources or solidarity actions.

Today marks the 140th anniversary of the Lakota, Northern Cheyenne and Arapaho victory at the Battle of the #GreasyGrass, commonly referred to as the Battle of #LittleBighorn or #CustersLastStand. The armed engagement against the 7th Cavalry Regiment of the United States Army by the indigenous tribes occurred June 25–26, 1876, near the Little Bighorn River in eastern Montana Territory, was the most prominent action of the Great Sioux War of 1876.

The fight was an overwhelming victory for the #Lakota, #NorthernCheyenne, and #Arapaho, led by several major war leaders, including #CrazyHorse and #ChiefGall, inspired by the visions of #SittingBull (Tȟatȟáŋka Íyotake). The U.S. 7th Cavalry, including the Custer Battalion, a force of 700 men led by George Armstrong Custer, suffered a major defeat. Five of the 7th Cavalry's twelve companies were annihilated; #Custer was killed, as were two of his brothers, a nephew, and a brother-in-law. The total U.S. casualty count included 268 dead and 55 severely wounded (6 died from their injuries later), including 4 Crow Indian scouts and 2 Pawnee Indian scouts.
