I had another photo picked out for my thursday post but after the events of yesterday it would only be fitting to look back at this place.
Sometimes I revisit locations because I feel "at home" if that makes sense, but other times it is to try another approach on taking a photo or making up for past mistakes. One example is a door shot that took 4 tries across 5 years to perfect. However, sometimes the reason to revisit is both and when those places are gone it can hurt deeply. I won't have another chance to correct the mistakes I made and wonder if my photos gave that location justice. Port Bougainville in Key Largo sadly joined that group of lost sites as I found out yesterday so I figure I would share a past glimpse of what made it special. Imagine being alone on the second floor here watching the sunset being surrounded by nature. Imagine the peacefulness and serenity. That's what I love most about exploring places.
