"But the FRUIT of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control; against such there is no law. Those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be conceited, provoking one another and envying one another. Galatians 5:22-26. -------------------------------------------
The word "Fruit" is a relationship word. As we abide in the Holy Spirit— The law of the Spirit this is what comes out of our lives: Love (agape Love), Joy (it's important to remember that as Christians it is OK to be joyful. There is no joy in legalism but for Christians there is joy in our life. Have You ever said, "i have a lot of love but I'm lacking on the joy thing right now"? Well when that happens go ahead and asked the Lord to freshly fill you with his Holy spirit and he will), so there is love, joy, peace (you might not be experiencing the peace so you go, oh Lord I'm anxious on this thing, freshly fill me with your spirit and bring that peace that you always bring), long-suffering (which is to be patient with people. Now That is not something that we are by nature, God must produce that in our life by His Holy Spirit), then there's kindness, goodness, faithfulness (which is to stay faithful to God and what he has called you to. This is something that comes by the Spirit of God also), gentleness, self-control, against such there is no law. This is what the Holy Spirit produces in a human life. "Now those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and lust. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be conceited, provoking one another and envying one another." In other words the Holy Spirit has been given to us not only that we would be saved by virtue of a spiritual birth but the Holy Spirit has come into our life to give us a new way of walking, a new way of living and this is something that the legalist could not do for you or the Law of Moses.
