It took many years for me to realize I wanted to change and become healthier, and it took many years after that for me to actually step up and do something about it. Having kids really helped kick me into gear, but it still took another 5 years or so before I started being consistent. I want to be healthy for them; to live a long, healthy, active, fun life with them; to show them how to be healthy and confident and capable. I want them to learn that self-care is important, and that taking care of themselves is a priority, otherwise they can't take care of others. Maybe you're like me. Maybe you know you need to change something, but don't know what to do. Maybe you know what to do, but you need someone to push you forward and hold you accountable. In February, I am running a challenge. It's simple--pick a fitness program and do it...every day...no matter what! This is a self-discipline challenge.
