Protein Pesto. It's the best...! Made with chia and hemp hearts rather than pine nuts, each serving contains 10 gms of protein and is still just as creamy and delicious.
Serving size: 4 servings
(Makes: 1 + 1/2 cups)
2 cups packed basil
2/3 cup hemp hearts
1 teaspoon + 1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
1 1/2 teaspoons tamari
1/2 tablespoon chia seeds, soaked in 2 tablespoons water for 15 minutes
Make sure to have chia seed mixture soaked and prepared 15 minutes prior to starting the dip.
Add all ingredients to a high speed food processor. Stop to scrape down the sides and taste to adjust. Blend until creamy #eattolove #health #snack #cheflife
