The warm-up should gently prepare the body for exercises by gradually increasing the heart rate and circulation; this will loosen the joints and increase blood flow to the muscles. Stretching the muscles prepares them for physical activity and prevents injuries.

Squats & seated leg press exercises both go a long way toward strengthening and toning the quadriceps. Though both are different in execution and where they can be performed, they both target the same muscles to great effect. Incorporate both into your leg workout or choose the one that best suits your purpose.
